Workspaces: separate businesses or branches

Understand what a workspace is, switch between them, and manage branding, modules, and plan settings.

A workspace is one self-contained business inside Overden Field: its own customers, jobs, contracts, invoices, team, and subscription. If you belong to more than one — say you run two branches, or a pest control company and a separate cleaning brand — you switch between them without logging out.

Switching workspaces

Use the workspace switcher in the top of the app to move between workspaces you belong to. Switching to a different workspace reloads the page — this is intentional, so nothing from one workspace's data ever leaks into another's on screen. Renaming the workspace you're already in doesn't trigger this reload.

Creating another workspace

Each new workspace is completely independent: its own 14-day trial, its own team and roles, its own customers and jobs, and its own subscription going forward. There's no data sharing between workspaces by default.

Branding and identity

Configuration → Business profile holds your workspace's name, currency, and contact details. Your printed document branding (logo, letterhead, footer, watermark) is set separately under Configuration → Documents, and is shared across quotes, invoices, and contract agreements.

Turning modules on or off

Three modules can be switched on or off per workspace from Configuration → Features: Leads (sales pipeline), Attendance & Leave, and Assets (equipment, on-site units, and stock). Turning a module off hides its navigation and settings for everyone in that workspace — it doesn't delete any existing data, so you can turn it back on later.

Common questions

Does every workspace need its own subscription?

Yes. Plans, trials, and seat limits are all per workspace — see the billing guide for details.
