Customers
Your customer list — the hub for every job, contract, quote, and invoice tied to that account.
Every customer (a "company" in Overden Field, whether it's a business or a household) has a details page that pulls together their jobs, contracts, quotes, invoices, and on-site equipment in one place — so you never have to hunt across different screens to answer "what's going on with this customer."
Adding and organizing customers
- 1
Add a customer
Customers → Add customer. Enter name, phone, and address.
- 2
Add more than one address
A customer can have several saved addresses — useful for a client with multiple sites (a restaurant and a warehouse, say). Each address can have its own premises type, and one is marked as the default.
- 3
Use the quick filters
Filter the list by balance due, active contract, premises type, or "quiet 90 days" (no completed visit in the last 90 days) to spot accounts that need attention.
The customer list itself isn't just names and phone numbers — each row also shows job count, whether they have an active contract, how many on-site units they have installed, their last completed visit, and any open invoice balance, so you can often tell what's going on with an account before you even open it.
Working from a customer's page
Open a customer to see their contract history (including renewals), every job, and every invoice/quote/transaction linked to them. From the same screen you can start a new job, quote, or contract already pre-filled with that customer's details — no need to re-type their name and address.
Deleting a customer
Deleting a customer doesn't erase them immediately — it moves them to the Recycle Bin, hidden from your main list but restorable for 30 days. After 30 days they're purged automatically.
Example: chasing overdue accounts
Weekly collections sweep
Filter the customer list by "Balance due" to see every account that owes you money, sorted by amount. Open the worst offenders, check their invoice history, and either send a technician to collect payment on their next visit or follow up by phone.
