Budgets & daily balance
Set spending budgets by category, and check your cash position day by day.
Two lightweight finance tools sit alongside Transactions: category budgets for planning ahead, and a day-by-day balance report for keeping an eye on cash position without building a spreadsheet.
Budgets
Set a budget per category (e.g. fuel, chemicals, salaries) so you can compare actual spending against your plan. Pin a highlight budget to the top of the office shell so it's always visible, not just when you open the Budget page.
Daily balance
The Daily balance report shows your cash position for each day — a quick way to answer "how much came in and went out today" without exporting a report first.
Example
Watching chemical spend
You set a monthly budget for the "Chemicals" category. Halfway through the month you check Budgets and see you're already at 80% — a signal to hold off on non-urgent restocking until next month.
