Transactions & cashbook

Your workspace's cashbook — every income, expense, and transfer in one ledger.

Transactions is your cashbook: every payment coming in or going out, categorized so it feeds straight into your reports and daily balance. Payments from jobs, invoices, and contract installments land here automatically — you'll mostly use this screen for everything else: expenses, manual entries, and reviewing history.

Recording a transaction

  1. 1

Set up categories and payment methods

Settings → Payment. Do this once, so every transaction has somewhere consistent to file into.

  2. 2

    Add a transaction

Choose the type (income, expense, investment, withdrawal, or transfer), amount, category, and payment method.

  3. 3

    Review history

Filter transaction history by category, method, or date to check where money has gone.

How it connects to billing

Recording, editing, or deleting a payment linked to an invoice automatically re-syncs that invoice's status (paid, sent, or overdue) — you never have to update both separately.

Example

Logging a fuel expense

You buy fuel for the company van. Add an expense transaction under a "Vehicle" category paid by company card — it shows up immediately in your reports and daily balance alongside every job payment collected that day.
